Hey everybody, short between updates this time.I recently watched Monster & Aliens (funny and simple kids movie, I loved the presidents performance doing Axel F for the Alien Robot :D ) with my son at the Cinemas, then I saw this brochure with coming kids movies. One of the movies which will be released near Christmas is a Norwegian "high budget" kids movie called Julenatt i Blåfjell. To my surprise I saw they were using one of the concepts I've done for the movie as the poster for the movie. I didn't know the movie was announced, or at least I though I wasn't suppose to show my concepts. But, since this image is released I guess I can show it myself :D
Anyway, this is the design for the mountain, which pretty much the whole movie spins around. What happens in the movie happens inside this mountain. Chimney Pot ( a Norwegian special effects company) are working on making this mountain in full 3d. The movie will be with real actors of course, so the final renders for the movie has to be more realistic than my concepts. But my concepts will also be used in marketing material, books, etc...so they have to keep some sort of painterly feel that can work for children illustrations as well.
